The Big Green Egg is a unique combination charcoal grill and smoker. It looks just like it sounds- like a big, green egg, like something out of a Dr. Seuss illustration that might be capable of time pork tenderloin for tacos space travel. The top half of the Big Green Egg lifts up from a hinge to reveal a round grilling or smoking area.
Just as there are a number of methods of cooking the pork, there are many more options in slow roast pork loin fillet recipes. Use a sauce drizzled around the food or put a colorful vegetable like an orange pepper into the mix. The visual stimulation can be the difference between a good meal and a wonderful experience!
About as far away from apple as it gets, a Boomerang Pie is stuffed with meat; this particular pie featured cubed steak meat and potatoes slathered in a gravy made with Guinness Stout (yes, the beer), then encased in dough and deep fried until flaky on the outside. Interesting dish, and very filling, but I can't help but think this thing is a caloric nightmare. It seems like the type of food one eats when intoxicated- which, to be fair, probably described 90% of the festival. As I went as a writer, however, I didn't indulge in drink, so...
The drinks are another thing that makes Babalu so special with drinks like classic cocktails, cervezas, and wine. If you would like something more charming then you can try the Babalu Special which comes with 6 different rums and a variety of island fruit juices.
